HR Workflow System

Challenge:

JCU wanted to raise staff productivity and regulatory compliance. The requirement was web based method to allow staff to enter payroll timesheets and leave request forms electronically via the web. It needed to integrate the HR system - Concept as well as the centralised JCU Portal.

 Solution:

Aeco in partnership with Sun Microsystems provided a solution built around J2EE and the Sun Java Application Server with Sun Java process manager workflow. A fault tolerant initial cluster of Sun SOLARIS rack mount servers and 8 SPARC way database servers provided an excellent starting point to scale to meet University wide processing needs. Aeco provided application skills transfer and solutions delivery skills to enable JCU to become self sufficient.
